    Wastewater Treatment Plant Chief Operator

    The Chief Operator position serves as the back-up Operator in Responsible Charge (ORC) for the Indian Lake Regional WWTP and the Flat Branch WWTP. The Chief Operator works hands-on with the operational staff to ensure plant operations and maintenance tasks are completed. This position also monitors operating data and lab results to adjust plant operating parameters, prepares monthly reports, and works with the Superintendent to develop policy, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other assignments as directed. The normal work schedule is Monday through Friday 7:00am to 3:30pm and is part of the operational on-call and weekend rotation. The position requires a minimum of an Ohio EPA Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator II license with the ability to obtain a Class III license within 24 months of hire. A valid Ohio Driver License and an acceptable driving record is required.


    Logan County offers competitive pay with vacation, sick leave, and retirement benefits in addition to health insurance and supplemental insurance and retirement options. This position is hourly with a pay range of $30.44/hr. to $33.81/hr. depending on experience and licensing.


    The selected candidate must pass a criminal background check and drug test. All positions are subject to a probationary period of 12 months.
